The Tongala Community
Charity Opportunity Shop opened
for business in June 2006 and is proving very popular with customers who
appreciate friendly service and a worthwhile cause. In December 2006 we
relocated to 68 Mangan Street, Tongala, larger premises able to
accommodate a wide variety of goods - clothing, bric-a-brac, books
and furniture.
The shop is managed by a rostered group of
Volunteers who give great service in such tasks as sorting, cleaning and
preparing goods for sale, pricing goods, stocking shelves and serving the
public. We are pleased to able to provide
local people with an opportunity to share in this community work. Without
these volunteers the shop could not operate, and we thank them most
sincerely for their dedicated service.
We
can arrange free pick- up and delivery of goods at a moderate fee to
assist
good willed people and also enhance the value of
bargains.
